What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Branch Supervisor to take ownership of the day-to-day running of one of our busy Post Office and retail branches. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring operational excellence, supporting staff, and delivering great service, all while reporting into a supportive Area Manager.
As Branch Supervisor, you’ll:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth and compliant running at all times. This will include working a proportion of your time on the counters.
Supervise and support team members, providing coaching and resolving queries as needed
Deliver Post Office counter services including banking, mail, and payment transactions
Handle all branch-level compliance tasks including cash handling, audits, stock unit and safe balancing, and stock control
Maintain high standards of customer service and appearance across the branch
Plan rotas, arrange shift cover, and manage basic HR tasks, such as timekeeping, managing sickness and performance, and staff support, with guidance and frameworks provided by our HR team
Be the main point of contact for customers, staff, and your Area Manager
We’re looking for someone who:
Has at least 2 years’ experience in a retail, Post Office, or banking environment
Has previous supervisory experience or is ready to step into a leadership role
Is confident with managing cash and customer service in a regulated environment
Has strong communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
Is physically fit enough to lift and move parcels as needed
Has the right to work in the UK
Can pass an enhanced DBS check
